yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
oscillating densitimeter
Dynamic viscosity of test material:
Viscosity is not a REACH data requirement below Annex IX. In the absence of a prescribed data requirement, dynamic viscosity was assessed using expert judgement. The test item was deemed to have a dynamic viscosity (significantly) less than 5 Pa s. The test item is not regarded to be a viscous liquid using expert judgement.

Relative density has been determined using a nominal density of water at 4°C of 0.999972 g/cm3

Conclusions:
The relative density of the test item was determined to be  0.8117 at 20 ˚C.
Executive summary:

EU Method A.3. – The relative density of the test item was determined utilising an oscillating densitometer.  The procedure employed was designed to be compatible with Method A.3. Relative Density of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008.

Two determinations were carried out.  An instrumentation check was performed using ultra-pure water.  The measuring cell was cleaned put and dried.  Approximately 1 cm3 of a visually bubble free, homogenous sample of test item was injected into the measuring cell.  The density of the test item was determined.  This determination was performed twice at 20.0 °C ± 0.2 °C to acquire an average value.

The relative density (D420) of the test item was calculated to be 0.8117, based on the ratio of the measured density of the test item relative to the density of water a 4 °C i.e.;

D420 =rtest item/rwater

where:

rtest item= density of test item at 20.0 °C (g/cm3)

rwater= density of water at 4.0 °C (g/cm3)
