Description of key information

The test item “Reaction mass of N-butylphthalimide and N-propylphthalimide and N-sec-butylphthalimide” is a white yellowish liquid with a relative density of 1.12, a flash point of 152.0°C and a boiling point of 302.9°C. The vapour pressure is 0.03 hPa at 20°C, 0.04 hPa at 35°C and 0.20 hPa at 50°C. The solubility in water of the three main components of the test item “Reaction mass of N-butylphthalimide and N-propylphthalimide and N-sec-butylphthalimide” were determined according to TG OECD 105 and revealed 75.4 mg/L for N-propylphthalimide, 97.8 mg/L for N-sec-butyl-phthalimide and 157 mg/L for N-butylphthalimide at pH values of 5.3 to 6.7 and ca. 20°C. The log Pow values of the three, main components of the test item “Reaction mass of N-butylphthalimide and N-propylphthalimide and N-sec-butylphthalimide”, calculated as the mean of two determinations, are 2.53 for N-propylphthalimide, 3.03 for N-sec-butylphthalimide and 3.11 for N-butylphthalimide at a pH of 7.0.
