Description of key information

Density: 1.6 g/cm3 at 20°C (QSAR)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

There are no reliable measured data for the substance. A predicted density of 1.6 g/cm3 at 20°C was determined for [2-(perfluorohexyl)ethyl]trichlorosilane using a validated QSAR estimation method. Although the result is outside the range of the model (0.8 - 1.4 g/cm3), it is considered to be a reliable indication that the density of the substance is much greater than that of water.

In a secondary source to which reliability could not be assigned, a density value of 1.649 g/cm3 at 20°C was reported for the substance. The reported value is in good agreement with the predicted density.
