Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

One test was available (Un test O1).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
no

Additional information

The test showed that burning stopped just after switching off the power. Although this UN test O1 is not directly comparable to EU test A17, this test has shown that GLDA-Na4 has no oxidising properties. Other related chelating agents such as DTPA-Na5, DTPA-K5, EDTA-MnNa2 and EDTA-FeNa also showed no oxidising properties.

In addition, GLDA-Na4 does not show a peroxide group (O-O) in the molecular structure; as such it is not an organic peroxide.

Justification for classification or non-classification

GLDA-Na4 is not an organic peroxide and does not show oxidising properties, therefore no classification is needed for these properties.
