Acute studies on all three trophic levels were performed to investigate the aquatic toxicity of isotridecan-1-ol. Algae (Desmodesmus subspicatus) turned out to be the most sensitive species revealing an ErC50 (72 h) of 0.298 mg/L (EC10 (72) = 0.215 mg/L). Effects of isotridecan-1 -ol towards fish (Danio rerio) were found in the same range providing an LC50 (96 h) of 0.55 mg/L. For invertebrates (Daphnia magna) an EC50 of 0.391 mg/L was obtained.
No data on long-term toxicity of isotridecan-1-ol to aquatic organism are available.
