Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The effect on the green algae Desmodesmus subspicatus was tested according to OECD TG 201 and under GLP (BASF AG, 2004; report no. 60E0186/033033). The test meets the validity criteria of OECD TG 201. The test vessels were sealed and filled without headspace to avoid loss of the substance during the exposure. The test concentrations were analytically monitored. The initial test concentrations deviated more than 20% from the nominal values; therefore, the effect values are based on the mean measured concentrations. The data were re-evaluated using ToxRat v3.3.0 (BASF AG, 2022). The obtained 72-h ErC50 was 47.5 mg/L, the 72-h ErC10 was 27.5 mg/L (measured).

It can be concluded that the substance is acutely harmful to algae.
