Endpoint:
explosive properties of explosives
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with explosive properties
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a gas

Description of key information

Explosiveness: Not relevant

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

The test methods specified in Regulation 440/2008 part A.14 for explosivity relate to the thermal and mechanical sensitivity of solids and liquids. The methods are not applicable to gaseous substances and hence the study does not need to be conducted in accordance with Section 1 of REACH Annex XI. Testing for the explosive limits of gases and vapours is not a REACH requirement.

Justification for classification or non-classification

There is no evidence to suggest that the substance should be classified for this endpoint.
