Endpoint:
bulk density
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
01 Aug 2013
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: Guidance on the determination of physico-chemical properties of pesticides, Part 17, Density,NY/T 1860.17-2010, has been used, which is similar to EU A.3.
Qualifier:
equivalent or similar to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.3 (Relative Density)
Deviations:
no
Principles of method if other than guideline:
With this method the volume of the test substance is measured in a cylinder.
GLP compliance:
yes
Type of method:
pycnometer method
Type:
bulk density
Density:
1.05 g/cm³
Temp.:
23 °C

The three individual measurements of tap bulk density gave the following results: 1.05, 1.04 and 1.07 g/mL, respectively. The resulting mean tap bulk density (rounded up) is 1.05 g/mL at 23 °C.

Description of key information

The substance Reaction mass of 1,1'-(isopropylidene)bis[3,5-dibromo-4-(2,3-dibromo-2-methylpropoxy)benzene] and 1,3-dibromo-2-(2,3-dibromo-2-methylpropoxy)-5-{2-[3,5-dibromo-4-(2,3,3-tribromo-2-methylpropoxy)phenyl]propan-2-yl}benzene has a bulk density of 1.05 g/mL at 23 °C (similar to EU A.3 method).
