Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The test material was stable to just above 70 °C. An event indicative of decomposition occurred at around 240 °C. No thermal event was seen on the DTA curve between room temperature and 150 °C and the sample had lost only 0.4 % of its weight by 150 °C.

Additional information

In a screening study conducted according to the OECD 113 guideline, the thermal stability of the test material was investigated. Approximately 20 mg of the test material was placed into a platinum pan using a glass pipette before being heated from 20 to 800 °C at a rate of 1 °C/minute within an air atmosphere.

The test material was stable to just above 70 °C. An event indicative of decomposition occurred at around 240 °C. No thermal event was seen on the DTA curve between room temperature and 150 °C and the sample had lost only 0.4 % of its weight by 150 °C.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The substance is considered to be stable at room temperature as no decomposition or chemical transformation was found below 150 °C.
