Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The surface tension of the test material was investigated in accordance with the standardised guidelines OECD 115 and EU Method A.5 under GLP conditions. The study was awarded a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the criteria for assessing data quality set forth by Klimisch et al. (1997).

The surface tension was determined using the ring method. Once calibrated, the balance and ring assembly used in this test give a direct reading for surface tension that is within the required accuracy (±0.5 mN/m). The surface tension of the sample solution was measured at intervals until a constant reading was obtained. The concentration of test material in the sample solutions was determined by ion chromatography (IC).

The surface tension of a 0.290g/L solution of test material has been determined to be 70.4 mN/m at 22.0 ± 0.5 °C. The test material is considered not to be a surface-active material.
