Description of key information

Waiving in accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VIII section 9.1.3

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with column 1 of REACH Annex VIII, long-term testing may be considered by the registrant if the chemical safety assessment according to Annex I indicates the need to investigate further the effects on aquatic organisms. As the substance is not classified as hazardous to the environment according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, no chemical safety assessment is performed as laid down in REACH Article 14(4), and there is no need to investigate further the effects on aquatic organisms, no  long-term toxicity to fish is expected because neither short-term toxicity to fish, aquatic invertebrates and plants nor long-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates and plants was observed below the water solubility of the submission substance (waiving in accordance with REACH Annex VIII column 2).

Therefore and for reasons of animal welfare, long-term toxicity testing to fish is not proposed.
