The flash point corrected to 1013 hPa is rounded down with an accuracy of 0.5°C to 106.5°C

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
A flash point of 106.5°C at 1013 hPa was determined for the substance using relevant test method. The result is considered to be reliable.

Description of key information

Flash point: 106.5°C at 1013 hPa (ISO 3679)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
106.5 °C

Additional information

A measured flash point value of 106.5°C at 1013 hPa was determined for the substance using a rapid equilibrium closed-cup method in accordance with ISO 3679 Test Method but not in compliance with a known quality system. The result is considered to be reliable and was selected as the key study.

In a secondary source to which reliability could not be assigned, flash point of 77°C at 1013 hPa was reported for the substance.

Differences in flash point measurements may result from differences in purity of the test substance (presence of volatile impurities) and the method used.

A measured flash point of 106.5°C at 1013 hPa and a measured boiling point of 242°C at 1013 hPa, indicate that the substance should not be classified for flammability according to the criteria of Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
