The determination was carried out by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) using the procedure specified in ASTM E537-86, Method A2 of Commission Directive 92/69/EEC (which constitutes Annex V of Council Directive 67/548/EEC).

However, using an adaptation of the Stein and Brown method (Syracuse Corporation Inc. MPBP for Windows version 1.31, William Meylan, 1994-1999), the boiling temperature was calculated to be 264°C.
