Water solubility of the test material study using the flask method, Method A6 Water Solubility of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008, was not able to be performed due to the readiness of excess, un-dissolved test material to form a suspension in water. Thus, determination of water solubility was based on estimations for the water solubility of the individual components present in the test material. Estimation was performed by a fragment constant methodology using compositional information supplied by the Sponsor and the specialized predictive software, WSKOWWIN, version 1.41, © 2000 US Environmental Protection Agency, in a GLP compliant laboratory. The water solubility of the individual test material components was estimated to be in the range 9.36 x 10 -8 to 3.59 x 10-3 g/l of solution at 25°C. Thus, NExBTL renewable diesel is insoluble in water.
The weighted average for water solubility
was calculated to be 0.075 mg/l. This value has been used in fugacity
and EUSES modellings.
