PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

It can be stated that the substance does not fulfil the PBT criteria (not PBT) and not the vPvB criteria (not vPvB).

Persistence:

The substance is readily biodegradable and is therefore considered to be ‘not P/vP’.  

Bioaccumulation:

The test substance is considered not bioaccumulative based on a bioaccumulation in fish and shrimp study. Further, the substance has a log Kow of ≤ 4.5 and is therefore considered to be “not B/vB”.      

Toxicity:

None of the long-term NOECs for marine or freshwater organisms are < 0.01 mg/L. In addition, LAS does not meet the criteria for classification as carcinogenic in Category 1A or 1B, mutagenic in Category 1A or 1B, toxic to reproduction in Category 1A or 1B or STOT RE Category 1 or 2 according to Regulation EC No 1272/2008. Considering all criteria, the substance is considered not Toxic (not T).
