Additional information

There is no study available to examine the carcinogenic potential of trimethylolpropane.

According to ANNEX X of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 there is no need to propose or to require a carcinogenicity study because the substance proved to be not mutagenic and no (histo)pathological alterations indicative for a potential carcinogenic effect were observed in the available repeat dose toxicity studies.
