Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Boiling point [ATMP-H]: ATMP-H will undergo thermal decomposition without boiling.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The requirement to test the boiling point of ATMP-H was waived because the substance decomposes without boiling. This statement is supported by the evidence from a DSC study which demonstrates that the anhydrous form of the parent acid (ATMP-H) melts from about 178°C with decomposition. See melting point study reported in IUCLID Section 4.2.

Similarly, in available secondary sources to which no reliability could be assigned, aqueous solutions of ATMP-H were reported to have boiling temperature of >100°C.
