Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex IX, the long-term testing on fish study (required in section 9.1.6) does not need to be conducted as the chemical safety assessment concludes that the substance is of no immediate concern to the environment. The available data are adequate for classification and labelling purposes and PBT assessment, so no further testing is required.
In addition the physicochemical data lead to the calculation of a very high Henry’s law constant (742 Pam3/mol) confirming very significant partitioning from the water to the air phase. Distribution modelling information suggests even distribution between water and air, however in reality this will not occur in the environmental as an equilibrium will not be established and there will be continual loss from the immediate confines of any defined air compartment. Therefore rapid transference of compound will occur from water to air, resulting in an absence of long term exposure and making long term aquatic toxicity testing unjustified.
