Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The determination of the relative self-ignition temperature of the test item FAT 40850/A TE was performed in a valid GLP study according to EU Method A.16. Applying a linear increase in temperature of about 0.5 °C/min, FAT 40850/A TE showed an exothermic reaction starting at about 262 °C. A maximum temperature of 537 °C was measured in the sample cube during the exothermic reaction. At the end of the measurement, the test item was carbonized and coloured grey, brown and black.

FAT 40850/A TE shows a relative self-ignition temperature of about 332 °C. Therefore, the test item FAT 40850/A TE is auto-flammable under the conditions of the test. The atmospheric pressure during the measurement was 98.5 kPa.
