First-aid measures

If inhaled: If breathed in, move person into fresh air. If not breathing give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult give oxygen. Consult a physician immediately.

In case of skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash off with soap and plenty of water. Emergency shower is recommended. Consult a physician immediately.

In case of eye contact: Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and consult a physician immediately.

If swallowed: Rinse mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Consult a physician immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Use water spray, alcohol-resistant foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide.

Special protective equipment for fire-fighters: Wear self contained breathing apparatus for fire fighting if necessary.

Further information: Use water spray to cool unopened containers.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: Use appropriate personal protective equipment. Avoid dust formation. Avoid breathing dust. Ensure adequate ventilation. Evacuate personnel to safe areas.

Environmental precautions: Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. Do not let product enter drains, swere or waterway. Discharge into the environment should be avoided as much as possible.

Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up: Pick up and arrange disposal without creating dust.Sweep us and shovel. Contain spillage and cllect with an electrically protected vacuum cleaner or by wet brushing. Keep in suitable closed and clearly labelled containers for disposal.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling: Avoid formation of dust and aerosols. Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation at places where dust is formed. Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking. Keep away from combustible material.

Conditions for safe storage: Store in cool place. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

Refer to the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/425 on personal protective equipment.

Respiratory protection:

Where risk assessment shows air-purifying respirators are appropriate use a full-face particle respirator type N100 (US) or type P3 (EN 143) respirator cartridges as a backup to engineering controls. If the respirator is the sole means of protection, use a full-face supplied air respirator. Use respirators and components tested and approved under appropriate government standards such as NIOSH (US) or CEN (EU).

Hand protection:

Wear protective gloves that satisfy the requirements standard EN 374. Select glove material impermeable and resistant to the substance bearing in mind rates of diffusion and degradation. Dispose of contaminated gloves after use in accordance with applicable laws and good laboratory practices as appropriate. Use proper glove removal technique without touching the outer surface. Avoid skin contact with used gloves.

Eye protection:

Tightly fitting safety glasses with side shields and face shield (8 inch minimum is recommended) conforming to EN166 should be worn.

Skin and body protection:

Avoid contact with skin. Choose body protection according to the amount and concentration of the dangerous substance at the work place. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.

Hygiene measures:

Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Wash hands before breaks, immediately after handling the substance and at the end of workday.

Stability and reactivity

Chemical stability: Stable under recommended storage conditions.

Conditions to avoid: no data available

Materials to avoid: Strong reducing agents, powdered metals, peroxides, zinc, copper, alcohols, hydrogen fluoride, acids

Hazardous decomposition products: Hazardous decomposition products formed under fire conditions. - Potassium oxides, Manganese/manganese

oxides, formic acid

Disposal considerations

Product: Observe all national and local environmental regulations. Contact a licensed professional waste disposal service to dispose of this material. Dissolve or mix the material with a combustible solvent and burn in a chemical incinerator equipped with an afterburner and scrubber.

Contaminated packaging: Dispose of as unused product.
