Solid, Burning rate:
According to REACH legislation, Annex VII, column II flammability does not need to be conducted since the substance is a liquid. Flammability for liquids is expressed as flash point.
Contact with water:
In accordance with section 1 of REACH Annex XI, the study does not need to be conducted. The structures of the substance does not contain groups that might lead to the evolution of flammable gas when coming in contact with water or damp air. Also, no metals, transition metals, boron or silicon are present. Therefore, the substance is not highly flammable in contact with water or damp air.
Pyrophoric properties:
In accordance with section 1 of REACH Annex XI, the study does not need to be conducted. The molecular structure of the substance does not contain functional groups that might lead to pyrophoricity. Therefore it is considered justified to omit the study.
Self-heating substances and mixtures:
The substance is a liquid. Liquids do not demonstrate self-heating properties unless they are adsorbed on a large surface.
