Additional information

Acute toxicity:

Studies on nematods have been performed with quinoline. They show no toxicity up to 2500 mg/kg soil.

Long-term (reproduction) studies:

Different taxons have been studied: annelids (earthworm and Enchtraeids) and arthropods (springtail). The most susceptible species is the springtail with a EC10 of 60.6 mg/kg soil. Both belong to the same trophic level (detritivore).

No valid study was found with terrestrial plants or soil microorganisms. However, they don't seem to be necessary because quinoline is quickly biodegradable in soil.
