Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Acute oral: LD50 : > 2000 mg/kg bw
Acute inhalation: Not required due to very low vapour pressure
Acute dermal: LD50: > 2000 mg/kg bw

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Acute toxicity: via oral route

Endpoint conclusion
Dose descriptor:
LD50
Value:
2 000 mg/kg bw

Acute toxicity: via dermal route

Endpoint conclusion
Dose descriptor:
LD50
Value:
2 000 mg/kg bw

Additional information

The two available study adress the oral and the dermal route. As these two studies are reliable, they are key studies.

In both limit studies the respective LD50 was > 2000 mg/kg bw.

As acute inhalation is highly unlikely due to the low vapour pressure, a respective study is not required.

Justification for classification or non-classification

As the substance is practivally non-toxic, it does not need to be classified for acute toxic effects.
