Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

FR-720 is poorly soluble in water (0.144 µg/L at 20 °C), therefore, indicates that aquatic compartment is not expected to be a compartment of concern for this substance. The air compartment is not expected to be a compartment of concern for this substance either, because the substance has a negligible vapor pressure (2.9 x 10-2Pa) value and thus, is not expected to be volatile.

On the other hand, the substance is expected to be found in soil and sediments compartments as indicated by the strong affinity to soil and sediments. This strong affinity is expressed by log Koc value higher than 5.63 and can even reach a value of 7.6.

FR-720 does not undergo degradation under biotic or abiotic conditions, and therefore considered to be persistence. The substance does not exhibit bioaccumulation potential to aquatic or terrestrial organisms.

Based on the above results, mainly due to negligible solubility in water and strong affinity to soil and sediments, it is assumed that substance is not likely to be bioavailable.
