PNECs have been derived for freshwater, marine water, intermittent
releases and the STP using the available endpoints. The PNECs were
calculated using endpoints obtained using freshwater aquatic species and
STP microorganisms. PNEC values for sediment were derived by the
equilibrium partitioning method (EPM). No PNECS were calculated for air,
or secondary poisoning as they are deemed to be unnecessary. The PNECs
are as follows:
PNEC freshwater = 0.0044 mg/L
PNEC marine water = 0.00044 mg/L
PNEC intermittent = 0.044 mg/L
PNEC STP = 1mg/L
PNEC sediment (freshwater) = 0.144 mg/kg dw
PNEC sediment (marine) = 0.014 mg/kg dw
PNEC soil = 0.026 mg/kg dw
The lowest acute L(E)C50 is 4.4 mg/L, and as such the substance does not
attract classification for acute aquatic toxicity. As the substance is
considered rapidly degradable under CLP guidelines and as the BCF is
less than 500 L/kg, the substance does not attract any classification
for chronic toxicity.
