Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

No toxic effects occur at the range of water solubility shown with acute and chronic data. The substance is not rapidly degradable. Based on the data for one of the main components of the substance, it can be concluded that a part of the test substance has to be considered to be potentially bioaccumulative in aquatic organisms. The aquatic toxicity criteria for classification are not fulfilled. Therefore, the substance does not to be classified according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP/GHS).

Legal classification: Aquatic Chronic 4 according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP/GHS). Index Number: 607 -501 -00 -9

Structure A (O,O,O-triphenyl phosphorothioate, CAS 597 -82 -0)

No toxic effects occur at the range of water solubility shown with acute and chronic data. The substance is not readily biodegradable and has a significant bioaccumulation potential (logPow value of 5.0 and BCF > 500). However, based on the data on aquatic toxicity the substance does not need to be classified according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP/GHS) as the criteria for acute and chronic aquatic toxicity are not fulfilled.
