Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

One chronic terrestrial test has been performed on earthworms (OECD 222). The result of this study suggested that the toxicity of Amines, N-tallow alkyltrimethylenedi-, propoxylated is low to terrestrial organisms. Indeed, after 4 weeks of exposure, there was no statistically significant impact on bodyweights of earthworms. In addition, the EC50 for the number of juveniles could not be calculated as there was insufficient evidence of a dose-response relationship but was estimated to be >1000 mg a.i./kg dry soil, with a NOEC of 250 mg a.i./kg dry soil. From this data, PNEC has been derived and the chemical safety assessment indicates no need to investigate further. PNEC has not been derived using EPM since this method is not recommended for such substance. The RCR was highly lower than 1. Thus, considering this chronic test result on invertebrates, it was considered not justified to perform another long-term study.
