Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Based on the final test results, it can be concluded that Amines, N-tallowalkyltrimethylenedi-, propoxylated is very toxic to algae with an ErC50 of 28.2 µg/L and a NOEC of 9.77 µg/L (nominal). Due to analytical method limitations one can expect that the toxicity threshold is even lower. This study was carried out in according to OECD guideline 201 and GLP requirements. Quality criteria were fulfilled.

A test has been performed in the same conditions with the analogue substance 2-Propanol, 1,1'-[[3-[(3-aminopropyl)amino]propyl]imino]bis-, N-tallow alkyl derivatives which belongs to the same category based on structure and ecotoxicological profile (see the justification paper attached in the Summary "Ecotoxicological Information" of the IUCLID). It has been concluded that 2-Propanol, 1,1'-[[3-[(3-aminopropyl)amino]propyl]imino]bis-, N-tallow alkyl derivatives are very toxic to algae with an ErC50 of 28.3 µg/L and a NOEC of 9.77 µg/L (nominal).

Thus, very similar results of toxicity to algae have been obtained for both substances indicating a similar ecotoxicity profile for these substances.
