Description of key information

Another Zinc Diothiophosphate was used as a Read Across surrogate for the substance identified in Section 1.  The auto-ignition temperature of this surrogate was determined to be 240 degrees C.  Since the molecular weight of the substance identified in Section 1 is significantly higher than that of the surrogate case, we would expect that the Auto Flammability Point of this substance to exceed 240 deg C.

Additional information

The auto-ignition temperature of the surrogate substance was determined using a method designed to be compatible with EU Method A.15. Varying amounts of the substance were heated in a flask and observed for signs of ignition over a 300 second period until the lowest temperature at which ignition occurred was determined.

The auto-ignition temperature of the surrogate substance was determined to be 240 degrees C at atmospheric pressures between 100.80 - 102.16 kPa. Since the molecular weight of the substance identified in Section 1 is significantly higher than that of the surrogate case, we would expect that the Auto Flammability Point of this substance to exceed 240 deg C.
