Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The water solubility of the test substance has been determined to be 8.75 x 10-3g/L of solution at 20.0 +/- 0.5 °C, based on total peak area. However, the chemical composition of the isolated soluble fraction of test material present in the water solubility samples with respect to individual component distribution differed significantly from the standard solutions, with the major peak in all samples being attributed to the lowest molecular weight C8:2:2 component. This was as anticipated with the lowest molecular weight, more soluble component essentially being extracted from the test material. Also observed in the samples chromatograms, although excluded from calculations, was a significant peak attributed to glycerol which was present as a minor impurity and also was an anticipated hydrolysis product of the test material, as well as a number of other unidentified low molecular weight species. These components may have had a co-solvent effect, increasing the apparent solubility of the test material; as well as contributing to the surface active properties encountered. However this was concluded not to impact on the validity of the data, as it remained representative of the anticipated fate of the test material on accidental release into the environment.
