Description of key information

In a 96-h acute toxicity study, zebra-fish (Brachydanio rerio) were exposed to test item under semi-static conditions. The 96-h LC50 was > 100 mg/L. Sublethal effects were not observed.
Overall, it can be concluded that the results indicate that the substance is not acutely toxic to fish under test conditions.

The study was tested with a similar molecule (Fatty acids, C16-18 and C18-unsatd., Me esters, epoxidized, reaction products with trimethylolpropane) which has the same structural body, only the reaction products of the functional groups are different (instead of reaction products with trimethylolpropane -> reaction products with ethylene glycol). Both substances show similar structural, physico-chemical, environmental and toxicological properties.
