Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Acutely toxic to algae.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for freshwater algae:
3 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
0.29 mg/L

Additional information

In a GLP guideline study according to OECD 201 the EC50 value for algal growth was determined to be 3 mg/L and the EC10 value for algal growth was determined to be 0.29 mg/L (RCC 1999). This result is supported by two further GLP studies in which EC50 values for algal growth of 3.2 and 6.3 mg/L were determined (RCC 2006). Therefore the tested substance is considered as acutely toxic to algae.
