Additional information

Toxicity to fish

The acute toxicity was investigated in Oncorhynchus mykiss. The 96-Hour LC50 based on the 0-Hour measured test concentrations was 6.1 mg/L with 95% confidence limits of 4.5 – 8.4 mg/L. The Lowest Observed Effect Concentration was considered to be 8.4 mg/L. The No Observed Effect Concentration was 4.5 mg/L.

Analysis of the test preparations at 0, 24 and 96 hours showed measured test concentrations to range from 95% to 110% of the 0-Hour measured concentrations and so the results are based on the 0-Hour measured test concentrations only.

Toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

The acute toxicity was investigated in Daphnia magna. The 48h EC0, EC50 and EC100 values for Daphnia (immobilisstion) were 20 mg/l, 38 mg/l and 70 mg/l.

Toxicity to algae

The toxicity was investigated in Pseudokirchnerella subcapitata. The 72h EC50, NOEC and LOEC values were 19 mg/l, 4.3 mg/l and 14 mg/l.

Toxicity to micro-organisms

At the concentration used in the ready biodegradation test (100 mg/I) , CARVONE LAEVO is not inhibitory to the micro-organisms.
