As the individual measurements were obtained with an accuracy of < 0.02 g/cm3, the density of the test substance is given as the mean value in accordance with the guidelines.

Conclusions:
A gas comparison pycnometer was used for the determination of the density and relative density of the substance in accordance with OECD 109 (1995), EU Method A.3 (2008), EPA OPPTS 830.7300 (2002) and according to GLP principles. The density and relative density of the substance at 20ºC was 1.33 g/cm3 and 1.33, respectively.

Description of key information

The density and relative density of the substance at 20ºC was 1.33 g/cm3 and 1.33, respectively. The density and relative density of an aqueous solution of a substance analogue (amphoacetates C12) at 20ºC was 1.09 g/cm3 and 1.09, respectively.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
1.33

Additional information

A gas comparison pycnometer was used for the determination of the density and relative density of the substance. A freeze dried aqueous solution was used in this study. A pycnometer was used for the determination of the density and relative density of an aqueous solution of a substance analogue (amphoacetates C12). Both studies were performed in accordance with OECD 109 (1995) and according to GLP principles.
