Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
IF INHALED: Remove victim to fresh. Seek medical advice if you feel unwell.
IF ON SKIN: Wash contaminated skin with soap and plenty of water. Remove/ take off contaminated clothing and shoes. Seek medical attention if you feel unwell or skin irritation/ rush occur.
IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with running water for several minutes while holding eyelid(s) open so that all sites can be rinsed well. Seek medical attention if pain or irritation occurs.
IF INGESTED: Do not induce vomiting. Rinse mouth thoroughly with water. Seek medical attention if you feel unwell or any symptoms appear.
Fire-fighting measures
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA
Suitable extinguishing media: CO2, dry chemical powder or fire foam
Unsuitable extinguishing media: Never use a discharging direct water jet.
SPECIAL HAZARDS ARISING FROM SUBSTANCE OR MIXTURE
Not applicable
ADVICE FOR FIREFIGHTERS
Immediately remove containers from the fire area if it can be done without risk.
Wear heat and fire resistant protective suite, self contained breathing apparatus, rubber boots and heavy rubber gloves.
Non-responsible and personnel without suitable protective equipment shall leave for a safe area to avoid inhalation of toxic gases and smokes.
Use a water spray or fog to cool exposed container.
Accidental release measures
PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS, PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
For non-emergency personnel: Stay in the windward. Immediately eliminate all sources of combustion such as flammable materials if it can be done without risk.
For emergency responders: Wear suitable protective equipment to avoid contact with eyes and skin or inhalation. Ventilate before entering the contaminated area.
ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS
Do not release to the environment e.g. sewers or public water streams.
METHODS AND MATERIAL FOR CONTAINMENT AND CLEANING UP
Prevent spreading or leaching spilled product with dikes or absorbing with inert materials.
Enclose and recover spilled product for large spill, or soak up small spill with inert media, e.g. waste cloth, dry sand, earth, etc.
Handling and storage
PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING
Containment and measures for safe handling:
Use only well-ventilated area and keep away from heat/ sparks/ open flame.
Ground/bond electrical devices properly.
Avoid all sources of ignition.
Avoid contact with skin or inhalation of vapours/mist.
Incompatible substances or mixture:
Strong acids, strong oxidisers, nitric acid, hydrogen peroxide, hydrazine, hydroxyamines
CONDITIONS FOR SAFE STORAGE, INCLUDING ANY INCOMPATIBILITIES
Store the product in dark, dry cool and well-ventilated area.
Purge nitrogen into the container.
Store the product away from all heated sources including direct sunlight.
Storage tanks/containers should be grounded and equip with adequate pressure relief valve.
Storage in and handling with containers of stainless steel, polyethylene, lined steel, glass is recommended.

Exposure controls / personal protection
EXPOSURE CONTROLS
Appropriate engineering controls:
Take preventive measures for electrostatic discharge.
A general proper ventilation is enough to control concentration in air.
Individual protection measures, such as personal protective equipment:
Skin protection: Wear impermeable work clothing.
Eye protection: Wear chemical goggles or safety glasses if splashing mist is concerned.
Hand protection: Wear rubber gloves when cleaning up working devices.
Wash hands thoroughly before eating, drinking, smoking or using toilet facilities.
Environmental exposure controls:
Avoid release to the environment.
Operate in accordance with the national and/or international laws and regulations.
Stability and reactivity
Reactivity: The product reacts with oxidisers and may cause risks of explosion and fire.
Chemical stability: Stable under normal conditions.
Possibility of hazardous reactions: Not known
Conditions to avoid: Overheating, heat, sparks, sunlight or open flame
Incompatible materials: Strong acids, strong oxidisers, nitric acid, hydrogen peroxide or hydrazine
Hazardous decomposition products: Not known. If overheated or in fire, decomposition products may contain carbon oxides and small amounts of aliphatic hydrocarbon.
Disposal considerations
Waste treatment methods:
Disposal of liquid wastes and solids containing free liquid by landfill is prohibit in the most jurisdictions.
It is recommended to incinerate wastes and containers at high temperature in accordance with the national and international laws and regulations.
Containers of this product may be hazardous when emptied.
Empty containers may retain this product as liquid and vapours.
