Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

An experimental study was conducted using DSC, according to EU Method A2 and OECD 103. No deviation from the guidelines was observed during the test. Due to thermographic variations in the boiling endotherm of the test item, it was considered not accurate to use the extrapolated onset temperature from the leading edge. Therefore, the boiling temperature was taken from the earliest sign of the endothermic profile that indicated the test item was boiling. The boiling temperature of the test item has been determined to be from 336 °C (609 K) at 99.4kPa.

Supporting data are consistent with the experimental result since they report a boiling point > 300 °C. The retained value will be the experimental value, because this value is more accurate than the supporting data, and this study is more reliable than the other studies.
