Description of key information

he conclusion was that: No decline of the initial concentration of the test substance in an organic solvent   was noticed over a period of 18 weeks at 20 °C +/- 1 °C. It was concluded thatSodium ethylene sulfonateis stable under these conditions.

Stability of Sodium ethylene sulfonate in Ethanol, N,N-Dimethylformamide, Tetrahydrofuran, Acetonitrile wasdetermined.The conclusion was that: No decline of the initial concentration of the test substance in an organic solvent   was noticed over a period of 18 weeks at 20 °C +/- 1 °C.

The results obtained for N,N-Dimethylformamide and Acetic Acid are slightly better than for methanol and ethanol. However the measurements  obtained for Methanol and Ethanol are possibly influenced by the higher vapor pressure of both solvents, which may result in loss of solvent.

With the used titration method we are not able to determine other components beside Sodium ethylene sulfonate. But the absence of a significant decline in SVS content in the above mentioned experiments demonstrates that no degradation took place at the conditions of the test.%. It was concluded that Sodium ethylene sulfonate is stable under these conditions.
