Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

According to the ECHA Guidance document R.7b, the toxicity control in a ready biodegradability can be used to investigate whether the test substance shows inhibitory effects on microorganisms. As the toxicity control in the biodegradability test according to OECD TG 301F showed no inhibition of the microbial activity at a substance concentration of 100 mg/L, no respiration inhibition of activated sludge is expected. The concentration used in the toxicity control (100 mg/L) can be used as NOEC value. Additioinally, the effect of the substance on the respriration rate of pseudomonas putida was determined in a study following the guideline of the oxygen consumption test according to Robra. The respiration rate was monitored for 30 minutes. Based on the nominal test substance concentrations an EC10 of 10000 mg/l was determined.
