Biodegradation in soil

Description of key information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex IX, degradation simulation testing in soil does not need to be conducted. There is no waste water when manufacturing or using the substance and waste air is in general incinerated or treated in a different way to remove the substance. No relevant emissions to soil are expected and, therefore, testing of biodegradation in soil is not necessary.
