Description of key information

 A 14 days short-term study with Eisenai fetida in artificial soil was performed which gave an LC50 of 503 mg/kg soil dw Chloramine T, nominal concentration, which is equivalent to 378 mg/kg soildw of p-TSA.

No studies are available on this substance but one study is available on Chloramine T which is instantly converted to p-TSA in contact with organic material, therefore this study can be used here as well.

A 14 days short-term study with Eisenai fetida in artificial soil with an organic carbon content of 5.2%, according to OECD guideline 207, was performed which gave an LC50 of 503 mg/kg soil dw Chloramine T, nominal concentration, which is equivalent to 378 mg/kg soil dw of p-TSA.
