The DSC curve of the preliminary test (heating rate of 20 K/min from 25°C to 400°C) showed no endothermic heat effect from which melting could be deduced. After the experiment, the sample was unchanged, a fine pink powder without loosing any weight.

To confirm the result of the preliminary test, a second run was performed, in which no endothermic reaction could be observed. Starting at about 310°C an exothermic reaction was observed (taken here as decomposition temperature). After the experiment, the sample had lost about 43.8 % of its mass and the sample was unchanged, a fine pink colored powder.

The test item does not melt under the conditions of the test and starts to decompose before melting at approximately 310°C.
