The acute toxicity of Methyl n-amyl Ketone to Daphnia magna was determined in a 48-hour, semi-static, aquatic effects test. The test was conducted with five concentrations up to 100 mg/L (nominal), 90.1 mg/L (mean measured). There was no immobilization observed at any test concentration throughout the exposure. The 48-hour EC50 value for Daphnia magna was estimated to be > 90.10 mg/L (mean measured), the highest concentration tested. The NOEC was determined to be 90.1 mg/L. As no effects were seen at the highest concentration tested, 100 mg/L nominal (mean measured = 90.1 mg/L) it is believed that the EC50 measured would be > 100 mg/L as well, therefore the nominal value is being used for the key value for the safety assessment.
