Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Ecotoxicological information

Toxicity to soil macroorganisms except arthropods

Administrative data

Endpoint:
toxicity to soil macroorganisms except arthropods: short-term
Data waiving:
exposure considerations
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely
Justification for type of information:
In accordance with column 1 and 2 of REACH Annex IX, the study Toxicity to soil macroorganisms except arthropods (section 9.4) does not need to be conducted as the chemical safety assessment does not indicate the need to further investigate the effects on soil macroorganisms except arthropods, as the substance and its hydrolysis product do not have a high potential to adsorb to soil and as direct and indirect exposure of soil is unlikely (see chapter 9 of the CSR).
In the absence of toxicity data for soil organisms, the PNECsoil was calculated using the equilibrium partitioning method (EPM) in accordance with ECHA R.10 (2008, chapter R.10.6.1, p 39). This method uses the PNECwater for aquatic organisms (value: 19.1 µg/L), the Henry constant (value:3.09 Pa m3/mol) and the suspended matter/water partitioning coefficient (value: 33) as inputs.  A conversion factor of 1.13 from wet to dry weight is used. The Risk Characterisation Ratio (RCR = PEC/PNECsoil) is < 1.
