Description of key information

The acute toxicity of the test substance, TM 12-209 to fish was assessed according to OECD Test Guideline 203. ZebraFish (Brachydanio rerio) were exposed to nominal concentrations of 15, 18, 21.6, 25.9 and 31.1 mg/L under semi-static conditions for 96 hours with renewal of fresh made test water every 24h. Four replicates for each test concentration, with 3 replicates with fish (7 each replicate) and 1 replicate without fish. The measured exposure concentrations at 0 hr and 24 hr remained within 80-120% of nominal concentrations, therefore the result was based on the nominal concentrations. The 96h LC50 value was 24.52 mg/L and 95 percent confidence limits ranged from 23.5 mg/L to 25.53 mg/L. The highest concentration causing no mortality was 18 mg/L and the lowest concentration producing 100% mortality was 31.1 mg/L.
