Description of key information

Additional information

Physical and chemical appearance: Solid white fine scales.

Melting temperature: The test item melted in the range between 122 and 215°C.

Boiling temperature: The test item boiled from 295°C on. No exact boiling point could be determined.

Relative density: Mean:1.0239 + 0.0036 at 23.0°C.

Particle Size distribution (Granulometry): The particle size distribution test was waived as the substance is not used in solid form.

Vapour pressure: Mean: < 1.3 x 10E-04 Pa at 25°C.

Surface tension: The water solubility is < 1 mg/L. Therefore, according to the guidelines, no test was performed.

Water solubility: Preliminary solubility estimated based on column elution method < 1 µg/L at pH: 7.0 - 7.1, 20°C. Calculated solubility (software WSKOWIN®, v.1.4) 8.6 x 10E05 mg/L at 25°C. The results are based on the main component (oligomer n=2).

Partition coefficient: Experimentally estimated, based on the HPLC-method: log Pow= 9.2 Calculated, based on the software KOWWIN®: log Pow= 9.4 The results are based on the main component (oligomer, n= 2).

Flammability: The test substance did not burn over a length of 200 mm. The test substance is not classified as "highly flammable". Tests on flammability in contact with water and pyrophoric properties were waived as no such properties are expected for the test substance.

Explosive properties: No positive results to shock, thermal stress and friction. The test substance is not classified as "explosive”.

Relative self- ignition temperature: Self- ignition of the test substance was not observed. The test substance is not classified as "self-igniting".

Oxidising properties: Maximum burning rate of the test substance: 2.11 mm/s According to the result of a test the test item is not classified as "oxidising”.

Stability in organic solvents: The stability in organic solvents is considered as not critical.

Dissociation constant: Performance of a study is not required as the substance does not contain any ionic structure and has very low water solubility.

Viscosity: Performance of a study is not required as the substance is solid.
