Description of first aid measures

General advice: Move out of dangerous area. Consult a physician. Show this safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance.

If inhaled: If breathed in, move person into fresh air. Call a physician or poison control centre immediately.

In case of skin contact:Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Rinse immediately with plenty of water. If skin irritation persists, call a physician

In case of eye contact: Rinse with plenty of water. Remove contact lenses. Protect unharmed eye. Keep eye wide open while rinsing. Obtain medical attention.

If swallowed: Clean mouth with water and drink afterwards plenty of water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

Obtain medical attention.

Treatment:Treat symptomatically.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing Media: Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment.

Hazards During Fire-Fighting: No hazardous combustion products are known. Do not allow run-off from fire fighting to enter drains or water courses.

Protective Equipment for fire fighting: In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.

Further Advice: Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be discharged into drains. Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.

Handling

Advice on safe handling:This substance should be handled under strictly controlled conditions as specified in REACH regulation article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements in accordance with risk-based management system should be available at each manufacturing site. During the whole lifecycle all necessary measures should be undertaken to minimize emissions and any resulting exposure.

Persons with a history of skin sensitisation problems or asthma, allergies, chronic or recurrent respiratory disease should not be employed in any process in which this mixture is being used. Smoking, eating and drinking should be prohibited in the application area.

Dispose of rinse water in accordance with local and national regulations. Obtain special instructions before use.

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures

Personal precautions:Use personal protective equipment. Ensure adequate ventilation.

Environmental precautions:Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.If the product contaminates rivers and lakes or drains inform respective authorities.

Methods for cleaning up / Methods for containment:Soak up with inert absorbent material (e.g. sand, silica gel, acid binder, universal binder, sawdust).

Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.
