Additional information

Experimental studies investigating the abiotic hydrolysis of Stearic acid, monoester with glycerol (CAS 31566-31-1) are not available. However, in accordance with Annex VIII, column 2, 9.2.2.1. of Regulation (EC) 1907/2006, testing is not required since the substance is readily biodegradable. The results from the supporting QSAR calculation with HYDROWIN v2.00 indicate that hydrolysis is not relevant for the substance, since the estimated half-lives ranged from 3.9 years to 7.7 years ( at pH 7) and 140.8 days to 281.6 days (at pH 8) (Gebhardt, 2013).
