Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
vapour pressure
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2000
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: Well detailed study report.
Qualifier:
equivalent or similar to guideline
Guideline:
other: ASTM E1782
Principles of method if other than guideline:
To limit the influence of volatile impurities on the determination of the vapour pressure (as recommended in Guidance R7a, November 2012), DSC method was followed. Indeed, DSC will give a more relevant result than static method, since impurities more volatile that the main component to test, areevaporated. On top of that, DSC is a standard method for another endpoint (boiling point), and can be easily used to determine the vapour pressure.

Conclusions:
The vapour pressure of the substance is 0.14 mbar at 40°C.
Executive summary:

A well detailed study report is available. The vapour pressure of the substance was measured with vacuum DSC in the temperature range of 61°C - 83°C. The relationship between the vapour pressure and the temperature was then fitted with the Antoine model.

The vapour pressure of the test item was found to be 0.14 mbar at 40°C.

Description of key information

The vapour pressure of the substance is 0.14 mbar at 40°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0.14 hPa
at the temperature of:
40 °C
