The majority of the data are developed by laboratory analysis. Despite the complexity of this substance the results seems to be affect mainly to the presence of iron oxide.

Pyrite cinders are an inorganic mineral ash insoluble in water characterized by its solid state (ash) and high melting point (1565°C). The physico-chemical properties are similar to iron oxide powder and seems not affect by the presence of other impurities.

Considering the nature of the substance and its insolubility in water, waivers are proposed for many parameters such as surface tension or dissociation constant. Other study are not conducted due to the high melting point. Finally some studies such as explosiveness or combustive properties are not conducted due to the intrinstic nature of the substance.
