Carcinogenicity testing is only required for wide dispersive use
substances classified as a Category 3 mutagen or substances that
demonstrate hyperplasia or pre-neoplastic lesions in repeated dose
studies. Benzene, mono-C10-13 alkyl derivs. is not a mutagenic substance
nor does it demonstrate such lesions in repeated dose studies, and thus
does not meet requirements for carcinogenicity testing.
